The new racing season kicks off this weekend for Montenegrin driver Filip Kunčer at the renowned Circuito del Jarama in Spain. As part of the Renault Clio Cup Spain, Kunčer will compete in a preparatory race serving as an introduction and an important test ahead of his participation in the Renault Clio Cup Europe, where he will once again drive this season for the successful French team Milan Competition.
The invitation to compete at the Spanish season opener follows Kunčer’s outstanding results throughout 2025, further confirming his consistent form and competitiveness on the international stage.
The first practice sessions take place today, February 27, while qualifying and two races are scheduled for the weekend, bringing the first on-track battles of the season.
“The excitement is high, as is the satisfaction of the season starting again. Jarama is a demanding and technically challenging circuit, ideal for preparation and for further getting to know the car ahead of the European championship. I expect strong competitors and a solid pace from the very first laps,” said Kunčer ahead of taking to the track.
