Montenegrin racing driver Filip Kunčer announced the start of the new racing season at today’s press conference held at the KIC “Budo Tomović”. For the second consecutive year, he will compete in the Renault Clio Cup Europe, reaffirming his continued presence on the European stage.
Following an exceptionally successful previous year, Kunčer enters the new season with even greater ambitions, competing in one of the most competitive touring car championships in the world.
Ahead of him is a demanding calendar featuring a total of 14races across seven race weekends, to be held on renowned European circuits, including Circuit Paul Ricard, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, and Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.
The new season marks an important step in his career, which he enters with clearly defined goals and increased confidence gained from last year’s results.
With numerous media representatives, sponsors, and partners in attendance, participation in the first race weekend was also announced, scheduled from April 4 to 6 at Circuit Paul Armagnac in France.
At today’s press conference, Filip emphasized that he is continuing his journey toward the very top of the Renault Clio Cup Europe. During the winter preparation period, he achieved notable results, securing second place in both races of the Renault Clio Cup Spain championship. This was followed by testing in Nogaro, where he set the fastest time over two days of intensive practice.
As he highlighted, his ambitions remain as high as ever, and the new season begins this weekend at the Paul Armagnac circuit in France. He expressed gratitude to all partners and supporters, noting that, as last year, all races will be available for viewing on the RTCG channel.
In addition to him, representatives of sponsors also addressed the conference.
Goran Ćetković, Director of Corporate Marketing at Vezuv Volcano Group, stated:

On behalf of Lovćen Insurance, Director Matijaž Božič expressed his support:

In conclusion, Filip Kunčer thanked all sponsors and partners, particularly emphasizing the importance of media support, which plays a key role in a successful start to the season. He noted that media visibility significantly contributes to the promotion of motorsport in Montenegro, as well as to strengthening awareness of sport as an important social value. He also sent a message to young people to believe in themselves, remain persistent, and courageously pursue their dreams.
